Roman and Margit Selsky brought the French model of landscape to Ukrainian painting: when the image of nature includes not only a ‘portrait of the area’, but also the color of customs, and the specificity of the worldview of local people. In search of an answer to the question ‘Who are we?’, Margit Selska explores the color and texture of the Carpathian landscape, reflecting on how this affects the overall impression of Ukrainian nature.
