The beast eats cherries from the top and tramples on the tender ones not to give them to anyone

Description

Maria Prymachenko's works are a journey into the collective subconscious of Ukrainians and the revelation of archetypes that are embedded in the Ukrainian worldview. These are conversations about collective fear and the cure for it: wit and humor, which the artist reveals through grotesque and funny captions to her paintings. The artist's paintings are like an illustration of an eternal fairy tale about the attitude of Ukrainians to the world: a model of nature, attitude to pets and animals.
