Alla Horska asks herself the question: ‘Who are we?’. She approaches it from the point of view of the Ukrainian Suprematists, who were inspired by the experiments of Kazimir Malevich. The artist looks for the answer by observing nature and abstracting from reality.
'Abstraction of the thunderstorm' is a look at the rain from a bird looking down on the earth's perspective. The abstract composition transforms the landscape into a set of spots, and the Ukrainian land into a collection of colors.
