Osyp Vaskiv is a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist, an important representative of avant-garde art. He worked in the cubist-expressionistic style and created deep, personal compositions. The artist was very sensitive from birth, so he captured the most delicate experiences and emotionally reflected them in his works. The unstable pre-war period became a time of existential search for the artist, attempts to understand the world around him. The leading topic was solitude, emptiness, and the tragedy of human existence.
