Yevhen Lysyk is a well-known Lviv-based scenographer who has devoted most of his life to exploring the inner world of the human being. The artist's discussion of the individual concerns two categories: human behavior in moments of anxiety and human empathy.
The artist's works are a mirror through which we look and ask ourselves many questions: "Who am I? Do I have any compassion left in me, or am I a creature driven by circumstances? What is the meaning of my purpose?"
Coal, the material the artist worked with, intensifies emotions. It is extremely sensitive to temperature and movement. Therefore, light strokes on the paper indicate the concentrated tenderness with which Yevhen Lysyk worked.
